Home App - Edit scene freeze/lockup

On my iPhone 11 Pro Max I can't edit scenes anymore.
A few second after I open the edit scene menu the app freezes completely.
Creating new scenes is working, only editing them freezes the app.

On iPads running iOS14 everything is working fine

It's also happening on iPads.
Crash report clearly states that "scene-update watchdog" is the problem.
It seems like it's linked to thermostats and that iOS and iPadOS handle the scene update differently.
On the iPhone the app locks up immedialtey if I edit/try to leave a scene containing a thermostat, on the iPad i have to open the thermostat setting within the scene to get it to freeze.
Removing and readding a thermostat did not help.
