Home App: False update notification?

My Home app randomly popped up yesterday mentioning there was a firmware update available for my iHome iSP5 smart plug and to open the iHome Control app to proceed with the update. When I go into the iHome app it continually says the firmware is up to date and no updates are available at this time. I can't remove the notification in the Home app and it's driving me nuts. Any ideas?

Took about 24 hours for mine to clear after a update was applied.
