Home Home app says only owner can add accessory, but I have that privilege...

Daughter originally set up our Home in the Home app (because reasons). She added the rest of the family as users in the home, and gave each of us the ability to add accessories. I can even see the toggle for that ability set in the on (green) position, through greyed out bc only she can change that.

Just tried to set up a HomePod but no joy. Home app says only the Home owner can do this.

Thoughts?
