… of having the home button failed on me on two different iphones? the 3G and the 4.

Exactly the same thing.. one day, all of a sudden, my iphone starts to miss some home button pushes.. sometimes I push it twice and only registers one click, or none, or whatever..

I remember the 3G failed after 9 months or so and my iphone 4 is now 7 months old.

I don't abuse my phones and I really don't think I push the button too hard, or no harder than my previous ipod touch or my current iPad.. none of which has a failing home button.

This happened on my Fairly new iPhone 4, took it to the Apple store for a Genius Bar Appointment, they replaced it no charge because it was still in warranty.

But I don't get it.. I dont push too hard, as I've seen people doing to their iphones when they get frustrated.

And my iPad and previous iPod touch never had this problem….

My iPhone 3G did this at 11 months old, my iPhone 4 did this at 6 months old. It happens.

Just made an apple store genius appt..
this is happening to way too many ppl just to be a coincidence or "button mashers". LOL.
