I have an issue where I get a high pitched double clicking noise with my home button. Like its rubbing against the metal ring as its depressed. Drives me nuts.

Probably should...but it's intermittent and Murphy's law states that if I go into an apple store and try to replicate the issues it will work just fine. Lol!

Why not get it fixed then?

With previous iPhones having issues with Home buttons, I would go get try to get it fixed soon before it gets worse and quits working or the warranty is gone.
