home button not working also iphone is not charging 3gs

hello,

I'm using iphone 3gs and today i woke up and i realized that my iphone home button is not working. later i plugged my phone to pc, but iphone showed no reaction to this. any advises??

just wanted to post this problem :O

I want to buy iPhone 3GS from someone who sels it for 150$ (16g) and he said home button doesn't work as well as the 31pin dock conector...
He said I need to change the home button and the iPhone will work but I didn't figure out why it reflected on the conector.
I thought maybe the iphone fall into the water or something but he says everything else work just fine.
