Home button + sleep button + 1 volume button loose!

hi i just bought my iphone 4 a few days ago, i put on an invisible shield, and now my home button + sleep button + 1 volume button loose are loose... will apple exchange it? i called and they said to come in and they'll take a look at it to see if it's serious or not.

should i take off my invisible shield first before going?
will they exchange it if the buttons still works, but they are loose and can wiggle around?

How exactly are we supposed to know if the Apple store will exchange it for you? We don't have the device in hand, and most of us are not employed by an Apple store. If they've already advised you to make a Genius appointment, I'm not sure what else you want someone here to tell you.
