home button white 4S 16GB issue

Hello,

A coworker has a Iphone 4S 16GB white edition.
The home button does not work as it worked on the old 4.

When you open a folder and press the home button, it will not close the folder.
When for instance on the second home screen and you press it, the phone would ussualy return to the first home screen. This does not work either anymore.

Does anybody know a fix or is this as it is?

Thank you for the answer, but I have only found one other person on the web stating this on a 4.

He had no answer.
I know we can send it in to apple but I want to know what is going on.
Any idea's?
Is there a fix I can apply myself?

My 4s home button closes folders and switches between spotlight search just fine as normal.

I would say restore as new and try again. Sounds like a software problem.

Go to your stocks app, hold your power button down until 'slide to power off' comes up, then hold the home button. This re-calibrates the home-button on apple devices.
