Home Button Wont Exit Apps

I've been having this weird bug happen lately. My home button won't exit apps however it still works. I can exit apps by opening kirikae (long hold) and then pressing the X. That's long and tedious though.

Anyone know why this is happening? My activator settings aren't set to activate single home press...

Might be a hardware issue.
Does it reset/restart by holding down power and home?

Power button doesn't work. I usually respring after it happens and that fixes it for a short time.

I'd be cautious if anything happens to it you might not be able to restore it, put in restore mode or JB to install SBsettings and kirikae in order to use it again.
You should try repairing it or getting it exchanged.

The home button works, it just bugs out after a while. Plus this isn't my phone. I'm borrowing it until the new phone comes out. It took me HOURS to apply the correct pressure to get the phone jailbroken. Only a few more weeks...

Oh I see.
Yes, I was trying to JB a 2G model yesterday with the same type of home button issues.
It would only work sometimes so couldnt JB with redsnow.
Had to restore to 3.1.2 and run blackrain.
Hang in there a few more weeks.

why not use spirit? also it might be a soft/something from cydia issue.

With the announcment 8 days away there's no real point. Don't want to go through the process of restoring / re jailbreaking. This is just a minor convenience.
