The Apple Store
Does anyone here have a slightly loose home button? I got mine exchanged a little while ago for the battery issue and stuck pixels. I already tried to go back for it and they said it was fine. Just wanted to see if it's normal, please say if you have a loose button or not. Also, my iPhone has NO other problems (yellow screen, buzzing vibrator etc.) besides this, so I don't know if its worth making a big deal about.

EDIT: By loose, I mean it wiggles, when you put your finger on the button and move it back and forth, the button moves a little bit

My iPhone's home button is actually harder to press compared to the demo's located in the Apple Store. The feedback of actually pressing the home button isn't as audible nor can be felt as easily compared to my current iPhone. A loose home button is probably common these days.

It isn't nessasarily hard to press, the loose button means it wiggles back and forth when you put your finger on the button and move it back and forth

Just an update:

I have tested 40 iPhone 4's and 4S's that I can remember and 32 of them had a loose button, think it's normal?

There is going to be some degree of acceptable wiggle in the button before they term it needing replacement. My finance's iPhone 4 on Verizon has a much stiffer button than my 4S does. Both work equally well and it really isn't an issue. Normal? I don't know. What about it bothers you?

it just moves a little bit from side to side, i have some OCD when it comes to this stuff, but I don't think I am going to replace, i just really made this thread to expand this testing I am doing, so, your saying that your 4S has a somewhat wiggly button that moves from side to side sometimes when you move your finger on it

My home button isn't wiggly at all. Its pretty stable and it's also on the same level with the rest of the phone. Pressing it is not too hard or too soft or wiggly. But, I do remember my iPhone 4 having something similar to that and towards the end, it wouldn't register my first click, I had to click on a certain side of the button. This happened for months. I was too lazy to exchange it, so i lived with it.

Since there are so many reports of solid home buttons here and almost 80% i have tested in real life have it, I wonder if you guys are looking for the right thing, look up iPhone 4S loose home button and click on the one with the white iPhone, then you will see what I mean

Saw it. Mine doesn't do that at all, it stays put. It only goes up/down when I push it. It's pretty stable.

You tested 40 iPhones for a .05mm wiggle on a button? Seriously? Why stop at 40? Why not quit your job (you do have a job, right?) and travel cross country, testing iPhone buttons? You could blog about it, and who knows, maybe you'll get a movie deal.

Well, 30 of them were in the apple store in one day and the rest were freinds phones, just wanted to see if this was normal
