Is it just me or the home button on the iphone4 doesnt feel right and not clicky enough?? It just feels like an old button that has been pressed too many times.

I'm sorry to say this must be you, because I've got one right here and it has a really great click to it, fantastic tactile response.

My old ipod touch first gen feels much better than the ip4... Weird..

IMO, the iPod touch home button has always had a different click to it. I have owned every iPhone and iPod touch thus far, and iPods consistently make a more distinct click.
Are you used to using only an iPod touch, just coming to the iPhone? Just an idea.

I'm with you on this. My button actually feels a little loose, and it annoys me a tiiiiiny bit. Think Apple would replace it?

They did for me, mine always made a noise when i just lightly touched it, the new one is probably as intended, but I really dont like it, i always fear to break something when not clicking exactly in the middle of the button.

So you got a new one and the home button still feels a bit loose??

When I first got my iP4 the home button felt somewhat loose (compared to my 3G.
You could here it clicking when I would lightly move my finger up/down, left/right on the button.

After a month of using it it is now as solid as the home button on my 3G.
