I installed Boot Camp on my MP today, and partitioned 32GB on a separate harddrive.

It all went just fine, until I rebooted into OS X again, only to discover all my settings were gone, my account was fresh, my home directory - gone (well, replaced with a "standard" home directory, or something).

So I'm wondering, could Boot Camp have messed something up, or could it be that I was using FileVault on my account? I tried turning FileVault off now to see if my home directory would reappear, but it didn't.

Anyone with similar experiences?

if its gone, i doubt it will re-appear, but i might be wrong, why I heard so many problem with bootcamp recently?

yeah but it's just so strange since i even installed it on a separate harddrive - an EMPTY harddrive

so why would installing windows on a separate harddrive delete a specific directory / file on another harddrive?

thats why i had the feeling that it would somehow be possible to get it back.
