Hello everyone,
I currently use a 17" MBP with 2 HDs in it via OptiBay. After reinstalling Mountain Lion and moving the Home directory to the 2nd drive I get really strange errors. When I log in with the user, BOTH HDs don't get recognized. They don't show up on the desktop. When I launch Calendar for example OS X gives a error message like cant create file. No files are created in the Home directory on the 2nd drive. But when I log in with a user which Home directory is on the 1st HD where the OS X is on it everything works fine. All folders like Desktop, Music etc. are created. What could that be?
Thanks for any hints.

This is so so so strange. When I crate the Home directory folders manually (Desktop, Library, ...) everything seems to work OK. The folder icons also change when I create the folders.
----------
I somehow found the problem! The user accounts on the 2nd HD have only read-only permission for that drive by default. I don't know how that can happen. Can I change that to read&write?
----------
Solved! Right-click 2nd HD > Get Info > sharing & permissions > Clicking the lock & giving admin password > clicking the wheel > Apply to enclosed items...
But I really wonder why that happened to my system. I never had such a problem with Snow Leopard before. Sorry for panicking
