Hi All, I am a newbie Mac user. I bought a MBP Saturday after using Windows/DOS since 1984. This is my first experience with a Mac.

I miss the Home/End keys for going to the beginning and end of lines of txt. I found the cmd-right arrow and cmd-left arrow shortcuts. They don't seem to work in Firefox/Gmail, but they do work in Safari/Gmail. I also found the cntl-a and cntl-e shortcuts. They seem to work everywhere I tested so far.

Is there any way to get the cmd-left and cmd-right working in Firefox/Gmail?

Thanks for the info. I had found those but could not find the answer to my question there specifically relating to gmail/firefox.
It shouldn't be different in Firefox, unless you have some preference setting or extension that has changed it. Have you tried Command+Up Arrow and Command+Down Arrow?

My Mac is out the box. I have not changed any settings other than the desktop background and installed a few apps. After I posted my question I did another google search. It looks like it's a known issue with the html editer in gmail but if you switch to the plain text email, then it works.
