When I booted up my computer my home folder showed up on my desktop. Also noticed that when I open my home folder it has grayed folders and files.
How do I remove the home folder from my desktop, it is not an alias. :(

Screen shot with Home icon on desktop

Attached is a screenshot of my desktop with the filevault icon on desktop...just showed up there one day and have no idea how to remove it without removing my HD icon. Any ideas what to do? When I click on it, it takes me to my home folder but some of the items are grayed out...don't remember it being like that before. I will attach a screenshot of that as well.

In the opened folder you can see that some items are grayed out. I don't remember that this was the case prior to the icon showing up on my desktop.
