Home Indicator staying on during videos (iPhone X)

Hey anyone else experiencing the home indicator line staying on no matter what sometimes? Happened once I updated to 11.2. So frustrating because it is intermittent. Would like to be able to turn it off permenantly anyways, afraid of the OLED burn-in in that specific area.
