I have an iMac 5,1 Intel 2 MHz Intel Core Duo 2GHz with 1 G memory and am running OS X 10.5.1

I have a number of DVD's I made from video cassette tapes that have old home movies from 8mm films that were filmed the 1920's and on. The tapes were converted to DVD on a plug and play combo DVD recorder/VHS player.

I ripped my first experimental DVD into my Mac into MPEG4 using i Skysoft DVD ripper so I could work on it with the intent to add a "soundtrack" of my aunt making comments on the persons, places and events being shown. The DVD is 49 minutes long and would thus have 49 minutes or more of commentary. The longest DVD I want to do this on is 1:20 min

I am able to add or mix both the movie and "soundtrack" (no recordings of my aunt as yet - as I am still perfecting the process.) beautifully in Garageband and then covert a completed project into a Quicktime MOV file directly from GB but have not been able to make a DVD of that in succession using i Skysoft DVD creator. i Skysoft will make the DVD video fine but I lose the soundtrack. I have QuickTime Player 7.1 only and no other QuickTime software apart from what I am able to do with GB does - as explained.

I had wanted to do this in iDVD but that is limited to allowing only 15 minutes of audio in the Menu only, which won't do.

It want to avoid the purchase of expensive full blown editing software - hence my use of iSkysoft and I don't believe I have the computer power to use Final Cut Pro. I am fairly certain Final Cut Express has audio length limitations, too.

My problem is I am a novice and I don't know what the heck I need to do...:) Is there a simpler way?
