Home screen crash iPhone 6 running iOS 8.1

tthe other day I was closing out some running apps on my iPhone 6 running iOS 8.1 and my screen crashed to the Apple logo. About 5 seconds later it went back to my lock screen. I've experienced this in the past running iOS 7 on my iPhone 5. Anyone else have this happen to them? This is the first time on my iPhone 6.

Yeah, resprings can happen occasionally due to something crashing here or there. Normally not something that would happen much.
 
Well it happened again when my wife was going to dial out with my phone. Not sure what could have caused it. I'm now running IOS 8.1.1. I deleted several apps to free up space on my phone. I had about 5 GB left and now have 15GB. Not sure if freeing that up will help but I guess we'll see
