Let me start this by saying that I’m just looking for opinions...I understand there are are no definitive answers here.

Do you think that iOS 13 will bring landscape mode to the home screen of the XS Max? Why was it excluded in the first place? Is that something that could be accomplished through a software update?

I used to like the landscape view on my 8 Plus but I also recognise that I didn’t really use it much.

It just seems odd that it was excluded. Perhaps because Face ID doesn’t work horizontally? That would be a weird reason though...once your on the home screen the phone is already unlocked. It just doesn’t make sense to me.

Because of FaceID, which doesn't work in landscape mode on iPhones.
I guess I see that as being a reason there isn’t landscape mode on the lock screen. When you’re on the home screen there is no need for Face ID...the phone is already unlocked.

FaceID is used for some apps to login from the home screen, so FaceID is used after the phone is unlocked in some cases.

Pics from XR with iOS 13 beta 6.
On my XR during charging on wireless charger it's so strange to listen music by Apple Music app with lightning earpods :-(
