Home sharing iPhoto libraries in 4k?

Has anyone noticed if your home shared iPhoto libraries are shown in 4k? I just bought a Sony 4k HDR Smart TV and it already has Netflix, Hulu Youtube, and Prime 4k apps built-in. Not sure it's worth upgrading my ATV to ATV 4k, but would miss my iPhoto album slideshows.

I also assume home shared 4k iTunes videos stream in 4k, ones that were NOT purchased in the iTunes store?

With home sharing, videos do display in 4K—as do Memories in the native Photos app. With home sharing, you can also play 4K movies that "you've made yourself" if they are in a compatible format. Doesn't have to be an iTunes purchase... (wink)
