Home sharing no longer working on any version of macOS

Between two Catalina machines, get a 5004 error when trying to copy content.

Between Catalina and Mojave machines, get a "not a member of Home Share" error.

Seems to be something on Apple's end? No software updates on any of the machines, and I see this on the Apple Community Support site:


Any thoughts?
