What's the difference between using home sharing and using the remote app on an iOS device (and using the "add iTunes library", not the "turn on remote sharing" option presented in the app)?
My set up is as follows - iTunes library on a MBP, amp/speakers in a different room, with Airport Express for feeding via wireless, and an iPad and iPhone. It seems to me that, if I intend to use AirPlay to get the music to the amp, and not play the music on the iOS devices (only using them as a remote), that the remote app would do the job. However, if I intend to do as above, and also have the option to use the iOS device to listen to the music (using headphones for example), then home sharing would be the best bet. Is that right?
Hope that all makes sense!
Dave.
