building a new house, hate wires, bought Mac Mini to use as home theatre (music, pics and movies). Want a wireless audio system to go from 42" plasma TO speakers TO anywhere in the house.

anybody done this?
I'm thinking I'll buy a nice receiver with plenty of inputs. Run wires (argh...) to the front speakers / woofer then go wireless to the other speakers, but is there a better way?

ideas appreciated.

The best solution is not to go wireless. I've used enough wireless speakers to know they're not reliable enough to work as rear speakers etc. You still need cables anyway, to supply power to the speakers.

Wires don't have to be visible. If you get a good installer round, they'll be able to get the system looking essentially 'wireless' without actually going wireless. Sure you're probably going to need to do some re-plastering if you want wall-mounted rear speakers etc... (strongly recommended btw) but it'll be worth it.
