I really did not know where to post this, but I am going crazy...I finally have a home I can build a full smart home in...and I did a very stupid thing by jumping onto the Betas with all my devices...and its made my home turn into a nightmare.
One thing I have learned is that out of all the different companies that make HomeKit compatible devices, Hue and Aqara are 100% the best. I will say that Hue is probably number one and Aqara is number two. Anyway...every single beta update, the second my Apple TVs reboot...I loose more than half my automations and I have to rebuild them and its getting worse with the more stuff I add...Sensors need to be moved into the respective rooms, automations completly disapear, and devices have to be restarted...luckaly, I did not have to repair anything...yet...but I am worried it is going to get to that point. Downgrading to iOS 18 is no longer an option because that would require all my devices and I can promise that it would probably destroy my HomeKit setup and I would have to start over from scratch...and I seriously don't want to do that...getting it to this point was hard enough...and right now, everything works like magic...but I am no longer excited about the new beta updates like everyone else...I just want things to stay the way they are...
Is anyone else using HomeKit and have any problems? I know its a beta, and I am a developer with a few apps that are on the App Store, so I totally get what I did was wrong...I have a few test devices, but this year I went all in and updated EVERYTHING. It was dumb. So mainly I am just wondering if I am alone in this HomeKit Hell or if others are also experiencing this.
