HomeKit Homekit Hey Siri opens wrong device

We have several devices in our Apple Home app, including a Yale lock with August Connect & a MyQ hub for our garage door. The lock we named Mudroom Door (it opens from our garage into our "mudroom") & the garage door is Garage Door. Both were in the Garage room. They've worked fine for several weeks with Hey Siri, such as "Hey Siri, open the Garage Door" or "Hey Siri, unlock the Mudroom Door". We changed our router & had to do the set up again. Now, "Hey, Siri, open the Garage Door" works for me but when my husband tries it, it unlocks the Mudroom Door. I created a new room for the Mudroom Door so it is no longer in the Garage room & it still works for me & still does not work for my husband. We are both using our Apple Watches for this. Has anyone else run into this?

Haven’t experienced this issue but I have been able to clear many HomeKit issues by rebooting my iPhone and watch and/or rebooting my home hub, which in my case, is an Apple TV 4K. I also have the Yale connected by August but I use the Insignia Garage Door openers.

We did finally fix it but I forget exactly what we did. My husband had already tried rebooting his phone & watch. I think I might have renamed the doors & then renamed them back. At least it is working now
