I'm experimenting with HomeKit as a platform for automation in my current house as I spec out the new house. I'm currently using Homebridge to link my pre-HomeKit Ecobee3 thermostat sensors and Insteon lights, garage door kit, and motion sensors to HomeKit for the time being. I've noticed that my ISY-994i motion sensor automation/triggers are very reliable, but I seem to get my motion sensors to turn on the lights less than 50% of the time when setting up the motion automation from HomeKit. I was also hoping to use my Ecobee sensors' motion as triggers, but even those don't seem to get HomeKit Motion automation to work correctly, even though I can see the "Detect" state with Home open when testing my triggers. Is anyone else having these issues, or should I go buy a HomeKit compatible motion sensor to see if those work more reliably? My time and sunrise/sunset-based automations work 100% of the time.
