Been using SmartThings for a while but looking to make the switch to HomeKit. Started with my Hue lights since that’s all that’s compatible at the moment. SmartThings has a feature that notifies you when someone arrives/leaves your house using their cell phone as a presence sensor. Does HomeKit have a similar feature? Can’t seem to find it.

Not to my knowledge. You can make an automation that will trigger something when you, or someone else, arrives/leaves. I have one set to trigger my lights and ceiling fan to go off when I leave. I have another that turns on my lights when I come home, but only if it’s close to sunset.
