Just got a HomePod yesterday, set the wakeup alarms on the iPhone via Home app last night for 8:05 this morning. Fortunately my Hue lights turned on and I woke up, but HomePod did not turn on at all.
When I verbally used Siri to set the alarm it has now set it for tomorrow, but the ones set from phone are still not transferring over. Must be a bug, anyone else experience this??

Screenshot attached, tried uploading voice memo but .m4a not allowed to be attached, Siri said I have one alarm set for 8am (which I correctly set)

I tested the alarm function using the Home app, and it worked for me yesterday. I couldn’t figure out how to stop it though. Turns out you have to say “hey Siri I’m awake.” Possibly any hey Siri command will end it. My wife suggested “hey Siri F off”
