I just got an AppleTV 4K and set up my HomePods as default audio. I had an SD model before this and I would just set them via Airplay when needed. I have noticed that even when the AppleTV is off and I ask the HomePods to play music, the AppleTV will be considered the source. Once I am done playing, the HomePod volume +/- stay lit until I force quit the music app. This will only happen once you play music. Otherwise they will not have the volume lights.

Anyone else noticing this? I have found a few references online about this being a 14.5 bug, but not much.

I’ve heard it is fixed in 14.6, so hopefully it will not be an issue for long. For now if I notice them on after the tv is off, I go back in and quit the music app.

Does anyone else also have the issue of them, on the odd occasion, losing connection or only one playing from a paired set? Very frustrating when that happens.
