Does anyone use a HomePod Mini (or two?) as a soundbar for their TV? Does it work well?

I'm probably getting one soon, so whether or not it works in this regard would be a deal breaker. However, I'm assuming it would only work with Apple TV, and not Netflix, Amazon, Sky etc?
