Hi, I have a HomePod which is called 'HomePod' in my Living Room in the Home app.

In the Airplay choices (for example in Apple Music and the Sound app) the HomePod is called 'Speaker' in my Living Room and does not have an option to change it.

It works fine in both cases, but it is causing issues with my anal retentiveness.

Any ideas on how to rename it in Airplay?

Home app, tap and hold the speaker. Swipe up, tap the gear icon, then change the name at the top of the settings.

Thanks kirkmc, already done this several times but this has no effect in Airplay. It already said HomePod, I again re-typed 'HomePod' over the top and restarted the HomePod but it is still called 'Speaker' in Airplay.

Sorry to bang on but this shows the issue:
