HomePod for Home Theater Audio

I’m looking to possibly use my 2 HomePods to replace my Bose Cinemate 15. Wondering how well they work/sound. Am I going to be disappointed in the Bass getting rid of the Cinemate with the sub for the HomePods? I don’t watch much for TV or Movies anymore but like good sound.

I have issues right now getting the Bose to play well with me Remote, it’s always not turning on. I want something I can control with the TV remote or Apple TV remote.

If I don’t use the HomePod I’ve got some Best Buy gift cards that I could use. Any suggestions on Soundbar with Sub that will work well with my LG TV as far as controlling it? Maybe up to $1000, little more if it’s worth it, less money is even better though😁

If you have the HomePods, then all you'll need is the Apple TV 4K 2021 (or the new 2022 model) and then you can use passthrough to your HomePods. In my opinion it sounds great and works really well, albeit I have a budget LG 4K TV and I have to have it set to game mode for everything to sync up after using the Apple TV's sync function.

Thanks. I think I’ll give it a try since I have everything I need anyway and by the sounds of it the audio quality is pretty good

Yeah it's well worth at least trying! It's the only reason I upgraded to the 2021 ATV4K last year haha. I think they sound brilliant.
