I pre-ordered but then realised that I am going to be away for 10 days from the day before delivery, so have decided to re-order for delivery on my return.
Meanwhile, I am trying to work out if the HomePod will work with my Logitech Harmony Remote system to give me voice control of my AV system.
Does anyone know if this will work straight away or will we have to wait for compatibility?

It doesn't appear that Logitech Harmony Remote systems is homekit compatible, so I'd venture a guess of no its not going to play nice with the HomePod

The 3rd party Homebridge project has a harmony plugin that works great, when it works. Turns out there's a bug in an underlying framework used to communicate with Harmony hubs that can cause it to stop responding after an indeterminate amount of time (I've had mine stop working after a few hours and other times take days) , requiring the homebridge process to be restarted. For me, its an inconvenience, but I have the server set up in such a way as restarts of the service take less than a minute, so its been easy enough to deal with that the pros still outweigh the cons.
