HomePod Homepod loses connection with Mac when switching applications

Hey folks,

since one month (maybe with the ios 14 update?) my HomePod instantly loses the connection to my MacBook Pro running macOS Mojave when switching playback applications or skipping through online videos. I get an error message saying "Could not connect to HomePod".

Scenario 1 - Switchting applications:

• Listening to music on iTunes -> everything is fine
• Listening to iTunes, then watching a video with Quicktime -> HomePod loses connection

Scenario 2 - Scrolling through YouTube:

• Playing back a single YouTube video -> everything is fine
• Playing back a YouTube video and jumping to da different spot in the video -> HomePod loses connection

Surprisingly everything is woking fine on my iPhone and even on my wife's Windows Laptop using Tuneblade. So I guess it's more of a problem with my MacBook than the HomePod itself. Any ideas?
