Hello!

So I live on a large property with a big great coverage WiFi network that I am always on. I just got a new HomePod mini, my first Home Hub. I am loving it. I have a few outlets and things. I live primarily in one structure on the property and have been trying to get the HomePod mini to turn off the lights and music when I leave this structure and then turn them all back on when I return. From what I read, it sounds like the wifi network is one of the primary ways the HomePod mini determines if you are "home" or "not home". So, by this rubric, it will never be able to tell I have left the room as long as my iPhone stays on the same SSID. Is that true?

My possible work around is to make the access point in this room broadcast a special SSID that only gets joined in this room but exists nowhere else on the property. This may be one way to have the device register a "not home" context. Thoughts?
