I'm just really tired of not being able to (officially) buy HomePod (minis) here; and I'm curious…

Anyone that's heard any rumours of why Apple is doing this, and when things might change?

I think they're selling only in markets where Siri is available in the local language. But what keeps you from buying online and setting it to en/fr/de etc.?

I use Siri in Swedish; so that's not it.

Part of why I'm not buying online is that the price about doubles; and the minis just aren't worth that.

I'm based in Dubai UAE. I have just ordered a Homepod Mini to be shipped here from the UK so that I can test it out. I intend to start to roll my home tech into Homekit. My iCloud and app store account are UK accounts as are my families. Any reason that this wont work and is there anything that might be a challenge using it outside of the country of purchase ?

Thanks
