My HomePod mini is no longer letting me send text messages out. It will read my most recent text and read a text just received but when I tell it to “text ...” it says that person is not in my contacts. All personal requests are on and it’s connected to WiFi. I’m running iOS 14.4 beta and 14.3 software on my HomePod mini. I’m thinking I need to either revert to iOS 14.3 or wait until HomePod 14.4 software releases. If anyone else has has this problem any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I’ll start with the obvious... Did you try rebooting the HomePod?

have you tried rebooting the HomePod? (pull power for 30 seconds)

if that doesn't work try resetting the HomePod (all the way at the bottom of the HomePod tile in the home app)
and then set it up again from new.

there's a pretty good chance this will get it back, and is fairly painless to do.

another thing to try is rebooting you router,

Thanks for the reply. Yes I’ve done multiple restarts via the home app as well as restarts from the HomePod itself. Every single thing works. It gets the contacts list to make phone calls just fine but it denies that I have that contact in my list when I try to send a text. I’m baffled. Only thing I’ve yet to do is a router reset.
