When playing music, do the volume indicators always stay illuminated or do they fade away during playback? It seems they're always on now and not sure if it was due to an update. Before it seemed they weren't displayed during music playback.

Always on.
 
After owning for a month, I noticed the -/+ flash when pressed (off-axis of course to see).
