one of my HomePods just suddenly stopped working this week mid-use. It was paired with another as the default option for an Apple TV and it just shutdown and seemingly will not power up. It’s just over two years old and I’ve already taken it into an Apple Store where the genius told me they can’t do anything other than offer me a brand new one at 250 dollars. I told him this is the second HomePod that has randomly died on me and this time I’m not reinvesting. Even the Apple Store guy said something along the lines of ‘yea we feel bad when these come in for support because there is nothing in place to help you’. I would love to save it, but I’ve tried all the usual trouble shooting.

Had it happen to me last weekend as well. Randomly stopped mid use as well. Sent it off to be repaired, and they've just come back saying its all done and it was the usual SB Diode causing the fault as they have a 3 week manufacture date so are prone to failure.

I wasn’t offered a repair option he said they don’t repair them. Should I inquire again?
