I just picked up my HomePod today and I’m thoroughly impressed. I currently have a Sonos 5.1 setup and this thing sounds great coming from such a small device.

My question is around where the “vocals” are coming from while playing music. I notice that the vocals on my setup are coming from the front/right portion. Obviously sound is coming out from the entire device, but it sounds like the vocals are coming from the front/right area pointing at my Family Room.

Is this due to the speaker itself (check where your vocals are pointing) or the “beam” technology sensing the room and objects around it?

Thanks!

Try turning it 180 degrees and see if it recalibrates and puts the vocals back in the previous spot.

Also - if resetting the HomePod will it “Re-Beam” the room?
