Having now owned the original HomePod (Returned) and a mini (keeping, but with some gripes)... here's a list. Would love to hear others as well.


Software:
- Less verbose Siri mode. Especially with kids. I don't need a quip, at max volume, at 2AM, when I ask you to play white noise. Seriously.
- Ability to choose default behaviour in HomeKit... instead of 'I'll play the first song in your library".
- Easier whole-room audio. A one-button way to blast the same audio to every HomePod/Apple TV in the house, would be nice (for parties etc.).

Hardware:
- The design of the mini, screams to having a wireless charger on top. It'd be so nice if the HomePod could double as a Qi/magsafe charger. It's flat on top!
- Removable cable for power. It'd be nice to wall mount this and be able to hide the cable or something.
- More colors. Product(RED), and a couple more color options - beige, brown and actual black - would round out the choices for standard decor.

Colors would be nice, but really I wanted more functionality. After using a couple HPMinis since release here's the features I would like to see -

1) I move one from the kitchen to the bathroom when I go to shower or shave. If it's currently playing, and is unplugged then plugged back in, it should just start playing again - when other HPs are also selected from a separate source and playing in different rooms. Duhh..

2) Would be nice to use the screen on top as a nightlight or control as a 'light' source under HomeKit. Especially when used on bedside table or bathroom.

3) Separate control choice under HOME app to 'mute this HP only' on single tap, instead of pausing music on ALL HP's currently playing. Maybe there is a way do do this and I don't know it?

So those would be a good start.
