Question, I am looking at my Bluetooth device stack. I assume the 2 "Accessory Connected" items are my 2 HomePod 2's. Why can't Apple just properly ID these devices you can see I have other connection devices that ID themselves.

HomePods do not show up in the list of Bluetooth devices...at least they shouldn't. Try unplugging them and see if the two accessories remain connected to determine if they're actually the HomePods or something else.

The no disconnect / (i) button usually means it's part of an app. Do you have any Bluetooth devices you control with another app, such as LED lights, Bluetooth tracker, medical device, etc? Can also go into Settings -> Privacy & Security -> Bluetooth and turn off apps one by one to see which one(s) remove the two accessories.

I don't, but your "part of an app" statement gives me a clue. I just started to use his iPhone with the HomePods outside of Apple Music, specifically Audible books. I think it is working through Airplay.
