???

Your personal hotlist?

Just stop by to flame? The Android forum is somewhere else!

I currently have an IPad, MacBook, and IMac. If I am going to upgrade, I would like to see at least 50% of my wish list in the new IPad 2.

I forgot to add:

12. Swype

1. Better multitasking
2. OCR
3. Flash
4. Better email client
5. Better file system
6. USB connectivity
7. Cameras
8. Better notifications
9. Widgets
10. Better resolution
11. Lighter

fixed that for you ;)

seriously, i see this more as a hardware upgrade and not a software update - and i mean that in the most minimalistic of ways!

I guess you are right. My list empahizes software, which means that it could be easier to implement; it makes me wonder why Apple doesn't do it?

Half your list are not HARDWARE but SOFTWARE desires.

You will not see them till IOS 5 so you can forget those for the moment anyway.

Secondly we all know FLASH is not going to happen

So you may get your camera and it may be a few grams lighter and USB connectivity will be as limited as ever with the camera connection kit.

Better resolution is subjective, I'm sure you actually mean a 'higher' resolution which is different to 'better' ;) and we all know a higher resolution screen is not happening this time round.

So time to go home and sulk in the bathroom for a while I think.... Or simply wait 12 hours and post a tirade of vitriol against Apple and the new iPad on these very forums as I suspect you will.

1. Not a chance
2. ??? perhaps as an app, but I've not heard of this being a need
3. Flash, even less likely then better multitasking
4. Better email client - I like the email client and I hope apple doesn't ruin it.
5. Better filesystem - there is no file system and apple is content it seems without adding one
6. USB, apple is seemingly moving towards thunderbolt so I don't expect more usb support from them but less
7. Crappy 1mp cameras will be added to the iPad
8. One would hope, iOS users have been clamoring for this for years
9. Widgets are nice but not a show stopper for me. I could care less, when I owned a droidx they extended the phone's ability, but with the iPad and iPhone and I don't see that need.
10. Not going to happen in the iPad 2
11. Will occur to some degree.

The problem is, when youre up by 9 runs then you don't need to swing for a homerun.

Yes I meant higher resolution. Yes half or more are software related.

Because I don't know what upgrades are going to be announced today; I am hoping to see some of the issues posted addressed later on the day. I have not inside knowledge nor I follow rumors. I would like to upgrade but camera alone is not enough.

By the way with the last OS upgrade, I lost what I have gained on USB connectivity with Ifile.

I am not for or against Apple or any other company, I am just a consumer. I don't own any Apple stock either.
