HomePod radio stations in the UK

A few weeks ago I asked Siri to ‘play greatest hits’, meaning Greatest Hits Radio station. In response it played BBC R2, not via Sounds app.
I tried it a few times with similar results.
Since it has responded to same request by playing ‘the top 25 songs’ from Apple Music.
Then today I asked ‘play BBC radio’ and it responded with ‘now playing BBC Radio Stoke provided by Tunein’.
So. Weird. Right?
(And I’m not even near Stoke)

It was a TuneIn fault. They provide the streams and all their streams for the stations were messed up. I contacted them on Twitter and several people were having issues.

Their app was fine it was just everything going through Apple Music.

That's interesting. I am listening to BBC Stoke just now, as it's the only BBC station I can receive. Really weird that HomePod can do this even. Beats constant commercial radio.

Yeah it is. It's a shame all the local stations aren't on Apple Music. BBC Radio Stoke is the only local one I can see on there, whereas i'm in Ipswich so should get BBC Radio Suffolk!

With regards to the problem the other week. I was trying to listen to Virgin Radio UK but it was playing BBC Radio 2. Glad they fixed it after a day or so as it was very annoying!

Not a fan of the BIG SHOWWWWW I take it….

This situation does make me wonder what BBC Stoke is doing differently tho.
