Now that Honeywells Lyric Controller supports HomeKit is anyone using one?
I'm looking at this...
https://www.amazon.com/Honeywell-Ly...=8-1&keywords=honeywell+lyric+security+system
And since I have a hardwire system now I'll be pulling the guys out of the current panel and installing this to convert hardwire connections to wireless.
https://www.amazon.com/Honeywell-58...rd_wg=7lNBb&psc=1&refRID=7F7QWAT91J1A8M2FHKAG
However HomeKit (or any automated accessory) can have its own set of quirks especially when it comes to the app used and how well the dev integrated HomeKit APIs. And once this is all said and done this will be the most amount I've spent on a single device specially for HomeKit AND its going to be thoroughly integrated into my home. What I'm getting at is I can't afford to make a poor decision here. Its not like I can just toss it.
My goal here it to have automated arming and disarming via geofence (HomeKits) and when armed just set off the wired siren and activate other accessories like lights and machine gun turrets, or just lights.
Any input on the controller, panel, the App and/or its integration with HomeKit would be greatly appreciated!
PS When it comes to products like this that take some skill and knowledge to install and operate I don't trust reviews from Amazon.
