Hong Kong Optibay for MacBook Pro

Has anybody else purchased something similar from the far east? any problems? does it work etc etc....

There is about 8 different sellers from the east with the same product, checked out all their feedback for the optibays and all are very posotive. Looks like an order might have to be made. Just need to find a good priced ssd now.

I have one of the cheap ones in front of me. My concern is that there seems no visible way to screw down the side opposite the connector unlike the 'real' optibays. This means it would be flapping around inside.

From what i can see on ebay they are all like that. I compare this to the installation videos from OWC for example where i can see the bay being screwed down fully.

So how many folk here have actually used a cheap obtibay replacement?

Get one with the screw downs in the same place as the Super Drive. They cost a little bit more, but it's better than having a "floating" enclosure.

I have the same optibay in my macbook pro 15.4 20111.
Its not a big problem, i put only one screw , but i have the ssd in optibay, so i dont think its a big problem... no moving parts or vibration.
I use it a few weeks now without any issue.
