Hooking 2011 MBP to television?

I have 2 questions. Wanted to know how I would be able to hook my 2011 MBP to my television? And does anyone happen to know of any sites to stream sports events? Looking mainly for football. All the home games here in my area are blacked out. Thanks for the help.
 
There are bunch of posts here on hooking your MBP to your TV with HDMI.

In terms of NFL, I think you can buy a season streaming pass for ~$40, but I don't know the details.
