iPod Hooking a regular hardrive to an ipod mobo

im working on a project and i was wondering if any one knows of any way that i can connect a 500 gig hardrive to the motherboard of an ipod. Space isnt really an issue but i need to figure out a way that i can connect the two. Any help would be great thanks
