Hooking up a 13" Air to an External Display..

I'm thinking of a monitor to go with a 13" Air 2012 model, and I'm wondering how well it is with a 24" Widescreen LED Display?
With respect to games, can it run say, Bioshock Infinite with a higher resolution at ample speed?

Some of the newer graphic intensive games may choke on the MBA, especially if you are trying to drive a high resolution like 1920x1080. Older games seem to run fine. I saw a YouTube video of a 2012 MBA running COD, and it was OK, but don't expect miracles.

Remember, the 2012 MBA does not have a discrete graphics card (only HD4000) so it is not a gamers laptop.

Ok great, what about 1080p videos across the internet or iTunes HD Videos? Do they all play alright with no lag on another display?

Yes - all of that should work fine. I use a 2011 MBA to drive a 27" TB display with no issues. Ive even played some newer games on it without any problems. Like the other posters have said, don't expect to run the newest games at anything approaching high graphics settings.
