Hi, I just bought a used macbook pro 15". It is not a new one. It is the old non-unibody from 2008. I think the last one before they switched to the unibody. I would like to hook it up to an external monitor. However, I do not know how to do this, as this is my first mac. Can someone please explain what cords I need and how to hook it up. Please be very basic in your explanation...

Especially as I am already confused as some websites say I need a mini dvi to dvi other websites say i need a mini display port to dvi and others say that because my computer is older I just need a 29pin dvi male/female extension cable ????????

Please help I am so confused
